The Africa Oxford Health Innovation Programme (AfOx-HIP) is a multi-disciplinary initiative designed to support African innovators in developing high-impact health start-ups. The programme equips participants with essential entrepreneurial skills through a 16-week virtual course, covering topics such as financial projections, pitching, and navigating intellectual property and regulatory processes.
Up to 50 innovators per cohort engage in interactive learning, mentorship, and peer collaboration. Following this, up to 15 selected fellows receive personalised technical support from Oxford-based experts, culminating in a week-long boot camp in Oxford. The boot camp provides hands-on training, networking, and a Demo Day, where participants present their ventures to potential investors and collaborators.
AfOx-HIP aims to drive innovation, tackle health inequalities, and create sustainable solutions to Africa’s health challenges. Applications for the 2025 programme are now open.
