My research interest is on virology both on human and animal side. My research is on Foot and Mouth disease virus type O. I am working on homology and heterology of Foot and mouth disease Virus type O strains, so that we can select a suitable vaccinal candidate that can provide broad spectrum protection among different types of same type O. As I belong to an underdeveloped country where livestock is a subsector of agriculture which contributes approximately 56% of value addition in Pakistan and due to poor vaccination sources Pakistan facing six billion of major economic loss each year. So, my research will help to get suitable vaccinal seed to cure Foot and Mouth Disease Virus type O.
