Biography:

Pooja is a postdoctoral researcher at the Royal Veterinary College where she is currently working on the AdapTB project- to identify and validate genes that allows Mycobacterium bovis to adapt and survive in the host environment (cattle) and cause bovine TB infection. This work is in collaboration with other international partners at Birbeck University in the UK, Ireland, Argentina and France.

She completed her PhD at the University of Surrey in 2024 and her research area focused on the identification of mycobacterial drug targets that potentiate the activity of isoniazid and rifampicin.
