Biography:

Dr. Gela completed a PhD degree in 2016 at Lund University in the field of respiratory medicine and allergology and later transitioned to TB vaccines and clinical immunology at the South African Tuberculosis Vaccine Initiative, University of Cape Town. His research focus is on identifying host determinant of protective immunity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
