Biography:
My research interests include zoonotic diseases of viral origin especially Coronaviruses, neglected tropical diseases and tropical diseases. I have been involved in large-scale multidisciplinary studies to gain more insight into the origins and reservoirs of zoonotic viruses as a proxy to viral zoonosis. Currently, for the past five years, we have been using Coronaviruses as a target to study the transmission interface between wildlife, livestock and humans. I also conduct impact-driven and action research in Tuberculosis to inform immediate drug choice and save lives.
