Biography:

Dr Celia M.J. Matyanga is a pharmacist by profession. She holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons), an MSc and PhD in Clinical Pharmacology. She is a lecturer at the Department of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Zimbabwe. Her research interests are in the fields of HIV/AIDS, traditional medicines, and pharmacokinetics.

Celia has been awarded several grants and trainings for her projects. She is the co-principal investigator for the AFRIESEARCHI ZIM-GIS Project. She has received training under the Nature Research for Early Career Researchers program and the Fogarty Doctoral Fellowship. Celia is an awardee of the L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science, MAWAZO fellowship, and the Indian Council of Medical Research & African Union Scientific, Technical & Research Commission (AU-STRC).
