Charles Gauthier completed his Ph.D. in 2009 on natural product chemistry from “University du Quebec a Chicoutimi". He then went on to postdoctoral research at the Institut Pasteur in Paris and at the University of Oxford. In 2011, he accepted a position of Senior Lecturer at the University of Poitiers in France. In 2016, he joined the Institut National de Ia Recherche Scientifique (INRS) in Laval (Quebec) as an Assistant Professor. His research group focuses on the development of glycoconjugate vaccines, alternative to antibiotics, and new synthetic methodologies in carbohydrate chemistry.
