Biography:

I am a scientist from the Institut Pasteur in Cote d'Ivoire. I hold a Master of Sciences in Molecular Biology and a Doctorate in Human Tropical Biology. For the last fifteen years, I've been interested in neglected tropical skin diseases, including Buruli ulcer and leprosy, for which i work on the molecular diagnostic methods of these pathologies. I have also an interest to the molecular epidemiology of circulating strains relating to drug resistance and the search of environmental reservoirs. Since 2016, I have been appointed Deputy Head of the Molecular Biology Platform of the Technology Department of the Institut Pasteur in Cote d'Ivoire, and in 2018 I have been asked as a temporary consultant by WHO to contribute to the identification of priorities for the development of the Buruli ulcer diagnostic test. Today I am an assistant professor and my works aims to develop a reliable early diagnosis of leprosy and Buruli ulcer in Cote d'Ivoire.
