Biography

I am an immunologist with an incredible ability to perform wide range of immunological and molecular techniques. With an educational background in Medical laboratory sciences, I have 12+ years of experience in different health institutions as a clinical laboratory expert and researcher. In my previous professional history, I accomplish multiple tasks which have great impact on institutional, national and international level public health development programs. Currently, I am working in Bahir Dar University passionately to be an accredited researcher and academician.

I had participated in the longitudinal cohort study; The Evaluation of M. tuberculosis specific host cytokine signatures in whole blood culture supernatants as diagnostic biomarkers for active TB infection (https://ae-tbc.eu), from which I had had multiple experiences on different immunological techniques. In addition, I am working with ANTICOV consortium (ANTICOV Trial) immunology ancillary study; The impact of COVID-19 treatment on the type, strength and duration of antibody and cellular immune responses in SARS-CoV-2 patients in sub-Saharan Africa, at Bahir Dar University Hospital, Ethiopia.
