Biography:
Myresearch is focused on two areas: 1) T cell response to M. tuberculosis and Leishmania donovani, and the immune system pathways these pathogens takes advantage of to evade host immunity, and 2) Drug development and immunotherapy for infectious diseases. I am currently a member of the research team on a clinical trial to Compare Efficacy and Safety of Miltefosine and Paromomycin with Sodium Stigbogluconate and Paromomycin Combination for Treatment of Primary Visceral Leishmaniasis (VL) Patients in Uganda
