At present, I am an early career faculty (INSPIRE Faculty) at Department of Biochemistry, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi-India. My research interests are to understand the immune mechanisms underlying the progression of diseases such as Malaria and Visceral Leishmaniasis, and to distinguish anti-parasitic host immune responses that control disease from the responses that cause disease. Presently, I am focused on investigating the role of regulatory cell surface molecules and cytokines in pathogenesis of these diseases.
