Biography:

I am a dedicated researcher with a strong focus on advancing vaccine development for neglected intracellular pathogens, particularly Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Mycobacterium leprae. My work centers on understanding the immunological mechanisms underlying host-pathogen interactions and leveraging this knowledge to design innovative vaccines that target the challenges of intracellular infections. By exploring cellular immunity, T-cell-mediated responses, and immune evasion strategies employed by these pathogens, I aim to identify novel antigens and optimize vaccine formulations that address both active and latent infections.

My research also integrates translational vaccine development and public health vaccinology, emphasizing the improvement of existing interventions like the BCG vaccine and exploring emerging technologies for next-generation solutions. By bridging immunology, molecular biology, and public health, my goal is to contribute to equitable health outcomes by addressing neglected infectious diseases that disproportionately affect vulnerable populations worldwide.
