Research Keywords: TB, animal models, Zebrafish, Chaperonins Biography: We have been interested in understanding the role of chaperonins in tuberculosis. Employing biophysical and biochemical tools, we have earlier, shown that chaperonins of Mycobacterium tuberculosis are unusual. Further, these chaperonins were shown to be secreted and involved in biofilm and granuloma formation. Currently, we are establishing Zebrafish infection model system for understanding molecular details of granuloma formation.
