Biography: Trisha Parbhoo completed her PhD in Molecular Biology from Stellenbosch University in South Africa in 2021. Her research focussed on using flow[1]cytometric methods to characterize the non- or slowly replicating Mycobacterium tuberculosis persister subpopulation during macrophage infection. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher in the Host-Pathogen Mycobactomics Research Group at Stellenbosch University, under supervision of Professor Samantha Sampson. Her interest is to gain insight into the metabolic adaptations that M. tuberculosis undergoes to evade the host immune response.
