Biography:

I am a Cotutelle research scholar under Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal – Deakin University, Australia Joint PhD fellowship program in the Centre for Molecular Neurosciences, Kasturba Medical College, Manipal. My current focus is Neuromelioidosis, sporadic neurodegeneration, Machine learning, AI (Artificial Intelligence), computation biology and translation biology. As resourceful microbiologist with a strong background in molecular and cell biology and is passionate towards research. I have previously completed his Post graduation (MSc.) from the Jain (deemed-to-be) University at Bengaluru in the specialty of Microbiology and has post-graduate research training from the National Centre for Biological Sciences, Bengaluru.  I have been extensively trained on genomic in the Dastidar lab and is keenly learning Machine learning-AI algorithms with a focus towards computational biology. I work with cell lines and bacterial isolates with an emphasis on host-pathogen interaction, intracellular complex molecular mechanisms that drives bacterial pathogenesis and host immune response.

My current area of interest is towards neuroinfection and neuroinflammation. I am extensively working in the field of Neuromelioidosis and have developed interest in interdisciplinary research with a goal focusing on translational research and vaccine development.
