Funding Lightbulb

Two new VALIDATE Funding Schemes

We are pleased to announce the opening of two new funding schemes designed to support our members' research  - The Open Access Fund and the Small Equipment Grants

Open Access Fund: VALIDATE has received funding to support LMIC members (Associates and early-PI Investigators) in publishing original peer-reviewed articles in covering costs to make their publication open-access, as this has two main benefits:

  1. Increased visibility and citations of the article and its authors
  2. Access to the article for all VALIDATE members, disseminating information and widening access to VALIDATE-relevant research

Find out more about this scheme on the Open Access Fund page.

Small Equipment Grants: VALIDATE is also offering small equipment grants are of up to £10,000 per laboratory, to help LMIC VALIDATE members purchase essential small equipment laboratory items (e.g. microscopes, centrifuges, incubators, freezers, fridges, pipettes, water baths etc) that will improve their research.  Applicants must be a VALIDATE Associate or Investigator member, based in an LMIC.

Find out more about this scheme on the Small Equipment Grants Page.
