VALIDATE Collaboration Workshop

About: In this two-hour workshop, VALIDATE gave members the opportunity to think about forming partnerships across institutions, continents and research areas.

Talk: Prof Susie Dunachie from the University of Oxford spoke about her extensive experience of building research collaborations.

Prof Dunachie’s talk was followed by a short Q&A.

Breakout discussions: After the talk, members were divided into virtual breakout rooms. Each room contained a mix of researchers at different career stages, from different institutions and with different research interests. Participants were encouraged to brainstorm ideas about how they might work together in new research partnerships and then reported back to the workshop. The aim was to encourage attendees to think creatively about research collaboration.
