VALIDATE ECR Summer Showcase
One of the core aims of VALIDATE is to help support you in your career progression. To this end we want to host an ECR Summer Showcase series of seminars, so we are looking for VALIDATE Associates who would like to give a 15-minute presentation about their research. We hope that this will be a great opportunity for you to showcase your research to other VALIDATE members worldwide, promoting yourself amongst the network and perhaps even inspiring new collaborations.

Highlights on Twitter this week:

A study on granulomas is providing some valuable insight for TB vaccine research was reported by News Science and Science Daily. ILiAD Biotechnologies has received an NIH Grant to develop a novel tuberculosis vaccine and we shared a video Q&A with Lucica Ditui from the Stop TB Partnership. We also shared some excellent videos from the WHO on global immunization and TB vs COVID vaccines.  Times Now News India had a special for World Immunization week about the vaccines that eradicated deadly diseases, Nature Careers latest podcast episode was on science in Africa, and Nature Medicine share stories from ECRs from various fields (including immunology). We shared an article from Free Malaysia Today about the status of TB and vaccines in the country and Economic Times India reported a request for the emergency use authorisation of the rBCG tuberculosis vaccine. Science Daily reported on new information about how BCG works and Forbes reported on the impact of COVID on the TB pandemic.
